Trudee Hill holds a B.F.A. in Jewelry & Metals from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. She is originally from Seattle, Washington but has also lived for extended periods in Honolulu, Hawaii; Austin, Texas and Tallinn, Estonia, where she completed a Fulbright Fellowship in 2006. Trudee currently maintains a private studio in Cambridge, England where she shares a home with her partner, their two children, and an Italian greyhound. In 2001, Trudee stumbled upon jewelry as art while pursuing a degree in photography. She is best known for her fabricated, one-of-a-kind jewelry in square sterling silver wire. The material is bent, cut, soldered and filed one hundred times over to form precise letters, words, and symbols. Trudee’s work has been exhibited throughout the US and Estonia. It has been published in Ornament<\/em>, How<\/em>, Arizona Bride<\/em>, Still<\/em>, and Anne<\/em> magazines as well as the books Art Jewelry Today 4<\/em>, Silversmithing for Jewelry Makers<\/em>, and Showcase 500 Rings<\/em> among others.
